The ferry crossing

Does anyone know how long and how much is the ferry to cross from Spain to Morocco? I've heard there are more than one exit and entry ports. Any idea about cheapest one? I believe the one from Algeciras to Tanger might be it but maybe not... just thinkning we can save some cash in that simple operation.
